Generic AI documentation tools optimise for the wrong thing
"AI documentation" usually means a tool that helps you write generic content faster: a marketing brief, a how-to article, an internal wiki entry. The model is fluent, the structure is loose, and the source is your prompt plus whatever it has memorised.
Delivery documentation is the opposite problem. The structure is opinionated (a BRD has specific sections; a business case has specific cases; a user story has specific fields). The content has to be grounded in specific project files, not invented. The output is read by senior reviewers who will reject anything that does not cite its source. And the artefact has to live as data — filterable, editable, integratable — not just as a Word file.
A generic AI documentation tool can write you a passable summary of anything. It cannot ship a Business Requirements Document that a steering committee will sign.
Reqify is the delivery-documentation tool
Every artefact in Reqify has an opinionated schema, a retrieval-grounded generation flow, and structured outputs you edit as data. You upload the discovery files; Reqify produces the BRD, the FRD, the user stories, the business case, the RAID log, the charter, the status report — each citing its source and flagging its gaps.
The output is alive. Edit a requirement and the requirements table stays in sync. Push to Jira; smart-links round-trip back. Update an assumption; the RAID assumption track reflects it. Run an integration; the artefact updates downstream. This is the workspace shape for delivery documentation.
It is also enterprise-grade in the unglamorous ways: data residency by region, organisation-level audit logs, SSO, SCIM provisioning, document-residency controls, no training on customer content.
What makes it a documentation tool, not a chat box
25+ artefact types
BRD, FRD, business case, user stories, RAID, charter, RTM, data dictionary, NFR spec, integration requirements, gap analysis, more.
Retrieval-grounded
Every section cites the source document. No invention. Where information is missing, the artefact says so.
Structured outputs
Edit prose and structured fields stay in sync. Filter requirements. Bulk-update owners. Push to Jira.
Integrations that matter
Jira and Confluence push, Slack notifications, MS Word and Excel round-trip exports. Team plan.
Data residency by region
Pick US, Canada, or EU per project. Documents and embeddings stay there. Audit log per organisation.
No training on your data
Your project content is not used for model training. Embeddings are isolated per organisation.
AI documentation tool FAQ
How is Reqify different from Notion AI, ChatGPT, or Coda?+
Those are generic content tools. Reqify is opinionated about BA / PM artefacts: each deliverable has a strict schema, retrieval-grounded generation, structured fields, and integrations specific to delivery work. The output is a deliverable a senior reviewer will sign — not a draft that needs to be reverse-engineered into a real BRD.
What document types does it generate?+
The full BA / PM artefact suite. BRDs, FRDs, business cases (Five Case Model), user stories with acceptance criteria, RAID logs, project charters, RACIs, stakeholder registers, requirements traceability matrices, data dictionaries, NFR specifications, integration requirements, gap analyses, change requests, status reports, lessons learned, project closure, sign-off logs, meeting minutes, and more.
Can it import existing documents?+
Yes. Upload existing BRDs, business cases, RAID logs, transcripts, RFPs, regulatory documents, prior project material. Reqify indexes them for retrieval and structures them into the workspace where applicable.
How are exports?+
One-click .docx, .xlsx, .pdf with formatting preserved and your organisation branding applied. Full house-template conformance (your headings, numbering, and field labels) is in development.
Is it safe for client / regulated work?+
Yes. Pick a data region per project (US, Canada, EU). Audit logging per organisation. SSO and SCIM on the Enterprise plan. No training on customer content. Document-residency controls available.
